Mike Skoric

Senior Portfolio Manager
Head of Research

After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Walsh College and an MBA from Wayne State University, Mike started his career in finance as a credit analyst with NBD Bank.  He eventually joined Huntington Bank where he moved to the Private Banking Division and assumed the role of Portfolio Manager, while also assisting with equity research analysis.  Soon thereafter he successfully completed a three-year study process that resulted in earning the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Mike joined Comerica Bank and its Wealth Management Division in 2003, where he dedicated the next 15 years.  As Senior Portfolio Manager, he managed investment portfolios for high net worth individuals and institutional clients.  Over time his responsibilities expanded to include roles as Co-Manager of Comerica’s New Opportunity Strategy (small and mid-cap stock portfolio) and as creator and Manager of the International Equity Strategy (developed and emerging market international stock portfolio).

With a commitment to enhance the research and optimize the portfolio management capabilities of our firm, Mike spends his days as our Senior Portfolio Manager.  He also spends time as an Adjunct Professor at Walsh College where he teaches courses in finance and investment management.

Mike and his family live in Rochester.  He enjoys biking the local trails and playing an occasional round of golf, though most of his free summer days are reserved for boating and other waterfront activities with family and friends.
