The CFA is a globally-recognized professional designation given by the CFA Institute, that measures and certifies the competence and integrity of financial analysts.  It is one of the most respected designations and is widely considered to be the gold standard in the field of investment analysis and portfolio management.  A CFA charterholder has proved his or her ability to withstand rigorous testing, shown a capacity for learning, and made a serious commitment to conduct his or her professional life according to high ethical standards.

Financial advisors who are highly competent and have met more than a de minimis certification standard, offer holistic service, and operate on an objective Fee-Only basis.  That means they do not sell financial products on commission.  Their only purpose is to look out for their clients' overall financial well-being.  The only financial advisor who can truly provide unbiased and objective financial advice, financial planning and investment management is an independent financial advisor (Registered Investment Advisor) operating under a strict fee-only compensation model, as defined by NAPFA.

Individuals who hold the AWMA™ designation have completed a course of study encompassing wealth strategies, equity-based compensation plans, tax reduction alternatives, and asset protection alternatives. Additionally, individuals must pass an end-of-course examination that tests their ability to synthesize complex concepts and apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations.

NAPFA members are recognized in the field and in the media as identifying those who are professional, ethical financial advisors.  It's all about putting you, the consumer, first.  NAPFA members are fiduciaries – at all times – for their clients.  They take a holistic approach to planning that takes into account all of the client's financial considerations – from investing to estate planning.  The goal is always to preserve and grow your money.

Individuals who hold the CRPC® designation have completed a course of study encompassing pre-and post-retirement needs, asset management, estate planning and the entire retirement planning process using models and techniques from real client situations.  Additionally, individuals must pass an end-of-course examination that tests their ability to synthesize complex concepts and apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations.  All designees have agreed to adhere to Standards of Professional Conduct and are subject to a disciplinary process.
